Volunteer Services

Volunteer Recognition Program

Awards are a way of saying “thank you” to UMSL volunteers who dedicate countless hours of service to the campus. We appreciate all that you do!

Volunteer of the Month
Each month Volunteer Services recognizes an outstanding volunteer as the Volunteer of the Month. Recipients are given a special certificate, lapel pin, a gift card to the University Bookstore, a coffee mug, and an automatic nomination for the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Volunteer of the Year Award
One volunteer per year will be chosen as the UMSL Volunteer Services Outstanding Volunteer. This award recognizes a volunteer whose service benefits the campus in a way that is beyond the expectations for the position. Supervising staff and/or other volunteers will have the opportunity to nominate candidates. All nominations must be submitted by April 1. Award recipients will receive a plaque.

Grand Club Award
The UMSL Volunteer Services Program recognizes volunteers that have reached a milestone of 1,000 hours of service to the campus. The award will be given on an annual basis (beginning in 2013) during the Volunteer Recognition Event.
