A Journey Through Life.....In February 1995, I found out I had a brain tumor near my right motor cortex. Since then I have kept a journal of my feelings, experiences and learning's. In July of 1996, I started having seizures as a result of the surgery. I've learned a lot from this experience as well. I tried to find the right combinations of medicines to control my 'complex partial' seizures for years. In July 1999, 'my scar tissue' grew in to another tumor. A second surgery stopped the seizures, but left me with a left-side weakness. I returned to work for almost two years after rehab. I even started driving again. My story is a spiritual and medial one. In August 2002, the tumor returned again, this time as high grade tumor.... So, journey with me through this experience...

| 9/28/99 - Dan's Surgery Update- Ok, yesterday, Dan had his brain tumor surgery. Within the outcome there is good news and not-as-good news. |
| 12/01/99 -Short update and Dan sitting times...- So, we have spoken with both Dr. Ashbaugh (from Infectious Diseases) and Dr. Black. They both agree that Dan is good to go. |
| Sat 9/7/02 - A Bumpy Road Ahead- Summary: On August 18th I had my first full-body seizure in many years and the first seizure in 3 years. |
| Sun, 5 Jan 2003 -Dan's in the hospital...Dan had multiple focal seizures this afternoon, lasting 5-10 min with only a few minutes in between... went on for about 2 hr including in the ER before controlled with meds... |
| Sun, 19 Jan 2003 - YEAH! Dan's Home !!!! Dan arrived home to YS Saturday afternoon! Phyllis flew to Providence RI on Thrs and flew back with him. I met them at the airport in Col and drove him home, and Phyllis flew on to St. Louis. |
| Fri 5/30/2003 - The War Has Begun... -Yesterday, I started my chemotherapy and my radiation at the Cleveland Clinic. |
| Wed 7/23/2003 Home after the radiation - I continue to feel good. My last treatment was a week ago. |
| Sat 1/3/2004 What do I do with these feelings? - Sometimes I feeling I feel like I’m dying. |
