Early Academic Alerts

As a continuing commitment to your success as a student, UMSL utilizes an "early academic alert" system that notifies a Success Coach when you are not doing too well in a class.  These alerts are commonly referred to as "flags".  Flags, which are initiated by your instructor, provides the opportunity for you and your Success Coach to create a strategic plan that will help you to overcome success barriers that you may face in a particular course.

Alerts are issued for a variety of reasons including excessive absences, poor quiz/exam grades, missing assignments, or any graded portion of a course that may impact your ability to successfully complete the course.
