Jeanine York-Garesche

(Instructor of Clarinet)

Holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Music degree from the St. Louis Conservatory of Music. Ms. Garesche has performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and remains a replacement player.

Additional performance credits include the Saint Louis Opera Theatre Orchestra, Fort wayne Philharmonic Orchestra (Indiana), Synchronia (the St. Louis based Contemporary Chamber Music Ensemble), and the Equinox Chamber players. She has served on the staff and faculty of the Tidewater Music festival (Maryland), attended the Johanneson International School of the Arts (Canada) and served as clarinetist-in residence for the Keisel Hall Chamber Music Festival in Blue Hill, Maine. She is a member of the International Clarinet Association and ACME (Artists, Composers, Musicologists, Educators) a Branch of the Mu Phi Epsilon Professional Music Fraternity.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities at UM-St. Louis, she is on the faculty of the St. Louis Symphony Community Music School and Webster University. Ms. York-Garesche joined the faculty of UM-St Louis in the fall of 2000.
