Stanley and Terry Freerks Scholarship application

The Stanley and Terry Freerks Scholarship was created by UMSL alumni Terry and Stanley Freerks. Terry received her BA in History and profited from the tutelage and mentoring of then History Professor Blanche Touhill, who became Chancellor of UMSL. Terry experienced Dr. Touhill dedicating herself to the development and well-being of UMSL students and the university. Terry wanted to follow that example by giving back to the school that was so vital to her success as a professional and as a person. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in History at the undergraduate or graduate level. The scholarship will award $2,000 for the next academic year. Recipients who are incoming freshman must have earned a cumulative high school GPA of 3.2 or higher. If the recipient is a current undergraduate or graduate student, he or she must have earned a cumulative UMSL GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients must enroll full-time at UMSL each semester.
