In fall semester 2007, the History Department enrolled just over two hundred students. About 70% were undergraduate majors; 30% were enrolled in the MA program. More men than women studied history as undergraduates (27% of history majors were women), but more women than men enrolled in the MA program (58% of MA students were women).

The largest group of undergraduate students (59%) were full time students; the largest group of MA students (70%) were part time students.

Sixty-three percent of all history students received some form of financial aid.

The largest group of history students 27% were under twenty-two, but 26% were in the 25-29 age group and 28% were over 30.
