B.A. English, Brigham Young University

Julianne Bartlett grew up in Lancaster, California before pursuing her BA in English.  After graduation, she moved to St. Louis where she began working in the Music Department at Washington University as a computer, publications, and data technician. In 2006 Julianne was admitted into UMSL's Creative Writing MFA program. While in the program she has been able to teach Development English at Florissant Valley Community College, as well as work as both staff and assistant editor for Natural Bridge--a journal of contemporary literature, supported jointly by UMSL and the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission. In 2008 she began teaching Freshman Composition. Julianne likes to spend her free time playing the piano, playing with her son, and writing long stories about disenchantment.
