Jeanne Allison was a Development Editor, then Acquisitions Editor for more than 14 years at Elsevier BV, one of the largest publishing companies in the world, before she joined the English Department in 2006 to run the Writing Certificate Program. In that position, she wrote book proposals, editorial, and development plans, and worked directly with authors to develop their books. She also freelanced as an Editorial Consultant and developed expertise in writing grant proposals, video scripts, and interactive electronic products.
As coordinator of the Writing Certificate Program, Jeanne is giving further shape and substance to the award-winning program. She teaches Advanced Expository Writing, Business Writing, Editing, Public Relations, Proposal Writing, and directs Writing Internships.
