Roy and Hilda Bergmann Scholarships for Literature

Recipients of the Bergmann scholarships receive $4,000 that must be used to pay for undergraduate tuition.

Applicants must be declared English majors enrolled in the university and entering or continuing their junior year (at 60-90 credit hours) in January of the application year.

Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7.

Submissions must include a critical paper endorsed by a department member, and may also include records of published prose or poetry or writing awards or enrollment in an English department writing program.

A student can receive only one Bergmann scholarship but is eligible for an English Department Scholarship in the senior year.

Submissions deadline: End of February.
