Transfer Student Scholarships

Here are some of the scholarships that you may be elligable for as a student transferring to the University of Missouri - St. Louis. For information on other scholarships for which you may qualify, or any other types of financial aid, please contact our Financial Aid Office at (314) 516-5526.

Chancellor’s Transfer Scholarship for Academic Excellence *
$3,500 - Eligibility not to Exceed 4 Semesters
A limited number will be awarded to the first eligible students admitted to the University before the deadline. Eligible students will have transferred at least 45 credit hours from a MO 2 year institution, have a 3.5 GPA on transferred coursework from a MO 2 year institution, and must be enrolled for full-time status for the upcoming semester. Scholarships available after the deadline will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Deadlines:
Fall - March 15th
Spring - October 15th

University Transfer Scholarship for Academic Achievement *
$1,500 - Eligibility not to Exceed 4 Semesters
A limited number will be awarded to the first eligible students admitted to the University before the deadline. Eligible students will have transferred at least 45 credit hours from a MO 2 year institution, have a GPA on transferred coursework from a MO 2 year institution of between a 3.25 and 3.49, and must be enrolled for full-time status for the upcoming semester. Scholarships available after the deadline will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Deadlines:
Fall - March 15th
Spring - October 15th

University of Missouri - St. Louis Gateway Scholarship *
$2,000 - Eligibility not to Exceed 4 Semesters
Eligible students will have completed at least 45 credit hours, have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and must be enrolled for full-time status for the upcoming semester.

* A student may only receive one of these three scholarships, though they may be received along with other scholarships offered by the University of Missouri- St. Louis. These scholarships do not require separate application but are awarded to all eligible students so long as scholarship funds are available. These scholarships can only be recieved at the time of transfer.

University of Missouri - St. Louis Chancellor’s Council Scholarship
Varies - Eligibility not to Exceed 4 Semesters
Recipients are selected by the University of Missouri- St. Louis based on merit. Candidates will have earned a minimum of 60 credit hours from a St. Louis area community college and may only receive the scholarship aid for semesters in which they are enrolled for at least 12 hours.

Community College President’s Sholarship
Amount to Cover 65 Credit Hours or 2 Years

Marguerite Ross Barnett Scholarship
Amount not to Exceed Educational Fees - Renewable
State scholarship awarded to part-time students of at least 18 years old with a 2.5 cumulative GPA and are employed at least 20 hours/week in a non-Federal Work Study job. Eligible students must also be Missouri residents who demonstrate financial need.

Pierre Laclede Honors College Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
$500 to $2,500 - Eligibility not to Exceed 60 Credit Hour
Awarded to students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society from their former 2 year institution and are accepted into the Pierre Laclede Honors College. Eligible students will have no more than 60 completed credit hours and at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.

College of Business Administration Community College Scholarship
Varies - Eligibility not to Exceed 60 Credit Hours
Eligible for both Full-Time and Part-Time students who declare business majors at application. The students must also have completed at least 30 credit hours at 2 year institutions, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and demonstrate financial need to receive the award.
