Amount:
Fall and Spring semesters - The Community College President’s Scholarship will support 15 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters, not to exceed support of 65 total hours or more than 2 calendar years.
Summer sessions - The scholarship will support summer credit in the amount of $375 for 3 hours and $750 for 6 hours.
Award Criteria:
One student will be awarded the scholarship from each participating community college, or each college campus, each fall and spring semester. The recipients will be chosen by the University of Missouri- St. Louis from up to three candidates nominated by the president of the students’ sending institution. To be considered an eligible candidate, students must meet the following criteria:
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, on a 4.0 scale, on the student’s final grades of the semester they are applying.
- Have completed or have applied for graduation with an Associate in Arts degree.
- Must be admitted to the University of Missouri- St. Louis and able to attach the University of Missouri- St. Louis letter of acceptance to the scholarship application.
The Community College President’s Scholarship will be awarded jointly by the University of Missouri- St. Louis Chancellor and president of the student’s sending institution.
Application:
Applications for this scholarship are available in the Office of the President at the campus you attend and should be returned to the Financial Aid office at the campus you attend no later than the following:
Fall Semester - March 15
Spring Semester - October 15
Renewal Criteria:
To maintain the scholarship, awarded students must keep a GPA of 3.0 or greater and maintain full-time enrollment for two consecutive regular semesters.
