Receive an Apple iBook and learn how to shoot, edit
and use Digital Video for your K-20 classroom during three
consecutive Saturdays in October and November. This workshop
will help you plan content for a quality video and learn
new video skills (shooting, storyboarding, scripting, lighting,
sound etc.). Learn how to use Cable in the Classroom videos
that are aired by program networks such as The History Channel,
Discovery, A&E, The Weather Channel and Nickelodeon.
Utilize showmecable.org and CIConline.org websites to find
free multimedia classroom resources that coordinate with
the programming to support teaching and learning. Then learn
how to edit and incorporate a recorded educational program
tape into adigital presentation. You
will also be presented with a variety of easy, practical
and creative uses for digital video at your school. Finally,
with your new ibook laptop computer and imovie digital editing
software, complements of Apple, you will produce and edit
an educational video of your own. You'll leave ready to
integrate more video into a variety of educational projects.
