Assistant Professor of Dance


Rob Scoggins has been involved in theatre and dance for over 30 years. He started his training in dance at Southern Illinois University with Alcine Wiltz. He received his M.F.A. in dance at Lindenwood University in 1986. Prior to that, he studied with Eric Hawkins, Carol Conway, Luigi, the Joffrey Ballet School and many other master teachers. He apprenticed with the Mary Anthony Dance Company where he had the pleasure of dancing Charles Weidman’s choreography.

Mr. Scoggins has worked with Modern American Dance Company (MADCo) as a dancer and choreographer for over twenty-five years. Additionally, four of his dances have been performed in the gala concert at the American College Dance Festival, two of which went on to the nationals.

Mr. Scoggins has been a guest teacher at numerous universities throughout the United States and most recently was a guest artist at the Rocky Mountain Theater Festival. His choreography has been seen throughout the United States and overseas.
