About UMSL
University of Missouri - St. Louis campus is a part of the University of Missouri System which are public universities supported by the State of Missouri. UMSL is the largest university in the St. Louis area and the third largest in Missouri, UMSL provides you with all the advantages and opportunities of a major research university at a fraction of the cost. UMSL is also home to the region's first and only accredited MBA on-line program.
There are 44 Graduate Degree Programs. Below are some of the programs that Thai students have attended or are attending.
However, if you are not ready to attend a graduate degree program, Center for International Studies offers Summer ESL Program and Pre-MBA/GMAT Program.
UMSL classes are held 3 semesters in a year; Winter (January), Summer (June), and Fall (August). All international students are required to register for at least 9 credits for Winter and Fall semesters. The Office of International Student Services (ISS) works hard to successfully integrate international students into the UM-St. Louis community. International Student Services is constantly striving to further help international students excel during their academic career at UM-St. Louis. We are involved in international admissions, transfer credit evaluation, immigration advising, cultural adaptation assistance, orientation for new international students, and personal advising. There are many international students from 108 countries.
The Current is a weekly student newspaper supported, in part, by Student Activities fees and published to provide experience for students in production of newspapers; to inform the UM-St. Louis community of relevant and timely issues, activities and events occurring within its scope; and to offer a source of advertising and publicity.
Statistics compiled by the Office of Postsecondary Education of the U.S. Department of Education indicate that UM-St. Louis is one of the safest campuses in the region. The University Police Department has an authorized strength of sixteen sworn police officers (not security guards) and a civilian support staff of nine. The mission of the police department is to protect and support the education mission of the institution of higher learning. Police officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
