NEWS for Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship Funds Expended. The Title II funds that
were appropriated by the U.S. Department of Education to the Partnership
for the purpose of scholarships are now all expended.
Best wishes to all whose opportunities for academic study have been
made possible by this program.
Notification of Employment, Post-6 Months
As scholarship recipients know, once the teacher preparation
program has been completed, and no additional Title II funds are
requested by the teacher education participang, the scholarship
recipient should be teaching in a high need school within six months.
That information should be reported on the verification
form found at the bottom of the "Obligations for Scholarship
Recipients" subpage under "scholarship guidelines" of this website.
Scholarship recipients should complete the 1st block of information,
then the Principal should complete and return the form to the US
Department of Education, according to the instructions on the cover
page of the form. If a person has completed the teacher
preparation program and has found a job that does not begin until
more than six months following completion of the program, that information
should be communicated to the US Department of Education.
If a person is still seeking employment, a letter to the US Department
of Education should be sent to relay a list of interviews held,
applications sent, and any additional information that explains
activities of the six months passing.

Survey Information Very Helpful
A big thank you to all who submitted responses to the survey
sent out by Dr. Kathi Beyer, Project Evaluator! The information
that she received was very helpful, and a paper is being prepared
about the information that was submitted.

still welcome! Please return them in the envelope provided
