Student parking permits are available at the cashier's office, 285 MSC and are valid for the current semester. It must be affixed immediately to the outside of the vehicle, rear window. Follow instructions on back of the sticker.

Carpool Parking Permits

Students who take advantage of the carpool program share the cost of parking fees. The permit admits only one carpool vehicle on the campus at a time. If another person in the carpool wishes to bring an additional vehicle on campus, that person must pay the daily parking fee ($10.00) at the Parking and Transportation Office.

Student Temporary Parking Passes

Students, faculty, and staff having current decals or permits who are unable to use the car on which it is applied may obtain a temporary parking decal or permit by contacting the Parking and Transportation Office or Campus Police. The temporary permit at no extra charge. The temporary parking permits are available at the Parking and Transportation Department and the Cashier's Office. Temporary parking passes cost $10.00 per day for those students who did not purchase a student parking permit and carpool members.

Residential Life Parking Area

Oak Hall and Villa residents must purchase a student parking permit to get a complimentary residential parking permit.

University Meadows Parking Area

Residential permits are not valid elsewhere on campus. Students must purchase a student parking permit to park outside the residential area. Students with disabilities who wish to park a vehicle inside the University Meadows residential area are required to display a state issued handicapped tag. University Meadows guests may request a guest permit at their office.

Handicapped Parking

Students, faculty and staff with disabilities who require access to handicapped parking may park in any designated parking location as long as they display the state issued permit and a valid UMSL parking permit. Visitors who require handicap parking must first obtain a daily permit to park on UMSL property. Temporary Handicap permits are available through University Health and Wellness in the Millennium Student Center and with proper documentation the Cashiers Office located in the Millennium Student Center, or Parking and Transporation at 7700 Florissant Road. Handicapped parking areas are enforced 24 hours a day by Campus Police inclding University holidays, semester breaks, and weekends.

Guest & Visitor Parking

Guests and visitors including student's family and friends must purchase a guest permit for $1.00, at the Parking & Transportation Office.

Metered Parking

Guests may use the parking meters for $0.50 per 50 minutes before 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Vehicles displaying a UMSL parking permit may park at the meters after 5:30 p.m. without feeding the meter.

Traffic Ticket Appeals

Students must appeal all tickets online. Please visit the Parking & Transportation website.

Campus Shuttles

Shuttle buses are available Monday through Thursday 7:26 a.m.-10:45 p.m. and Fridays 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A grocery shuttle bus is available Fridays at 1:00 in the main circle, except holidays, spring recess, intensive study days and semester closing days.
