The Cell Biology Course website at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB) has presentations on many cell structures based on material in Alberts' Molecular Biology of the Cell, though updated by additional information in the literature.   The person who created the UTMB site, Dr. Gwen V. Childs, has moved to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.   Some UTMB web pages direct you to the Arkansas website for "updates".    In most cases, the contents of the two websites are identical.   The links given here are to the UTMB site.

• The website for the Cell Biology course at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston (UTMB) presents a nice overview on structure of the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
• The UTMB course site also has a thorough description of nuclear structure.
• The UTMB website also has a good section on nuclear pores and nuclear pore complexes.
• A cell biology website at Tulane University has some succinct descriptions of various nuclear components.
• The UTMB course site presents a short discussion on SER structure and function.
