Linda Vawter, MSW, LCSW, Title IV-E Program Coordinator, has been with the university since the fall of 1995, working with BSW seniors who receive an educational stipend for their field work at Division of Family Services’ offices. As a part of the being selected for the stipend, students sign a contract to accept full time employment with Division of Family Services for a minimum of 18 months following graduation.

Prior to coming to the university, Linda worked for over 18 years at the Division of Family Services in St. Louis County, as a foster care worker and ultimately as a foster care supervisor.

Linda Vawter currently teaches the following courses: SW 3602 Child Welfare Practicum Seminar, SW 3601 Abused and Neglected Children, SW 4800 Supervised Field Experience in Social Work I, SW4801 Integrative Field Seminar I, and SW 3100 Interventive Strategies for Soc8l Work Practice.

Special interests: public child welfare, foster care, and kinship care.
