Fall 2016 School of Social Work Events 

Professor Courtney McDermott (left) moderates as Ferguson Councilman Wesley Bell (right) and Missouri State Representative Michael Butler (center) address social work students this past Friday as part of a community engagement grant from the Council on Social Work Education. Using the Ferguson Commission’s final report Forward Through Ferguson as a frame to the conversation, Bell and Butler stressed the importance of social workers being involved in policy making.
