Advanced Standing
Individuals who have earned a BSW degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education within five years of the date of enrollment in the MSW program may be considered for credit up to 24 graduate hours (see equivalency chart at the end of this document). To qualify for these hours, the course grades must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The MSW Admissions Committee will review your transcript to determine the courses which qualify for credit toward the MSW degree. These courses typically include:- *Social Policy and Service Delivery in Social Work
- *Human Behavior in the Social Environment
- *Introduction to Social Work Practice
- *Research Methods
- *Community Organization and Social Change
- *Field Practicum
