What is an Endowment Fund? |

•Distributions are made not from the principal account balance, but from the interest earned on that balance

Why use the SPEF? |

•Great deal of time and expertise needed to manage a 501(c)3 not-for-profit
•Funds still can be utilized for current members if chapter were to close, depending on agreement language
