DID YOU KNOW? (Sigma Pi)

  • Jimmy Buffett was a pledge of the Alpha-Delta Chapter at Auburn. He was not initiated because he was kicked out of school for having poor grades.
  • When Delta Kappa merged with Sigma Pi in 1964, 2 of the Delta Kappa chapters elected to join Delta Sigma Pi.
  • Marty Schirra Jr. was the only man to fly in all 3 of the US manned space missions (Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo)
  • In 2008 a movie called "Pinkville" will be released telling the story of the My Lai Massacre. Actor Bruce Willis will be playing the part of General William Peers, Chief Investigator of the crime, and Sigma Pi alumnus.

  • Garret Gutting was once "Rush" Chairman and Rushed a record setting 7 pledges in the spring semester and 22 total pledges in 2006.
