There’s No Losing in Science
Science is a form of art,
It’s made of several parts.
Test tubes and DNA all mingled in my head,
Science no longer is something that I dread.
Electric shocks and small combustions,
They’re each part of the science function.
Science is a crazy thing,
It makes you search and think and dream.
It’s time to present; you’re nervous, unsteady,
Will the judges find interest in your study?
You’re almost finished; your hands are sweaty,
Will you get an award? What your research ready?
Then the pressure is suddenly gone,
You realize that something sadly went wrong.
You didn’t win but you didn’t fail,
You walk away with more to tell.
You realize it’s time to further your study,
Next time you’ll be more than ready.
You learn what it takes and you make new friends,
Science is an experience that never ends.
