Tasks

We envision the process to be completed as outlined below. 1. Identify people for the committee. This process is underway as we have begun to identify people from multiple countries and constituencies who might be interested in this work. We are particularly interested in representation from Developing Countries and the D.C. Committee, as well as representatives from Europe, Asia, North and Latin America to support in the creation and classification of education material. Are you interested? If so, please let us know!

2. Begin to get publicity for the project with articles to publications such as ORMS Today, and the Euro Bulletin.

3. In parallel to the publicity task, we will prepare a web-page for a follow-up to the call for contributions. That is, the publicity material should invite potential contributors to a URL where they will find further information on the project, including:
(a) an outline of the project
(b) instructions for Contributors
(c) submission Forms
(d) list the resources that we already know about

4. Identify the needs of individuals world-wide for materials of this sort. This too would have a web-page for feedback to the committee about needs and interests.

5. Create a classification method and begin to apply it to the available material. Once we have a significant collection of material, we can begin this process. This should be well underway this fall.

6. Decide on the kind of product we want to deliver and how we can provide that product. This step is driven by Step 4. However, once the primary analysis is completed for Step 4, this should be relatively straight-forward to determine. The plan is to complete this before January. How soon after that we can deliver depends on what we decide to do.

7. Populate the database. This should be concurrent with later phases of Step 5.

8. GO LIVE! No projection at this time......
