To complete courses to receive a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems
I have used computers for the majority of my life. I am very comfortable with using the computer. I enjoyed learning as many computer languages as possible. I do have a hard to with languages I learned due to the fact that I do not use them often, but I normally need a little bit of time to "clear out the cobwebs" before I can effectively use computer languages/programs again. I would believe myself to have above average computer skills.
I would have to say that my business skills are my strongest asset. I enjoy learning about businesses and business practices. My favorite topic is Operations Management. Queueing theory, Line balance, Lean Production, etc. all of these topics really keep my interest. Math and Statistics are also my strong points.
All ratings will be graded using...grades. (A is best and F is Fail)
Not to sure on how I can truly rate my analysis skills, but I will describe my approach. I ask ALOT of questions (at the same time I do not ask enough questions). I never jump to conclusions unless I am absolutely confident on the solution. Once I find a solution, I like to follow-up and get feedback on it. Grade: C
Working with groups has never been a problem for me. I usually become the lead of a project if no one wants to take lead. My group is always welcome to come to me when they have questions or need clarification. I check my e-mail daily when I am on a group project. I update statuses on my progress often. Grade: B
Listening is my strong point. I like to hear ideas and suggestions all the time. I do not ever disregard any ideas of suggestions. Anyone is free to talk to me about any of their ideas and suggestions. I talk often. I communicate mostly through e-mail if I am remotely away. Grade: A
My creativity is very average. I am not really to creative, my creativity seems to throw alot of my peers off. I guess it is my through processing or reasoning. Thinking outside the box is pretty difficult for me. Grade: D
My Analytical skills are different. Not to sure how to explain it. Again this goes back to the way I think. Normally people go "Why?", I always go "Why not?". I also have a hard time figuring out what people are thinking. When I think I am close, I miss the Mark by a mile. I would say it is average though. I do figure puzzles and problems, I actually enjoy doing these things. Grade: C
