Ability to coordinate team projects/Project Management Skills: 7.5
Experience obtained as a lead aircraft technician at a regional airline for 3 years has allowed for the development of sound project management and coordination skills. Responsibilities included: supervising aircraft mechanics, allocating tasks based on technician's skills and time restrictions, ensuring necessary resources were available to complete the job, troubleshooting complex problems, making critical safety decisions, training, prioritizing daily objectives and working with the FAA to ensure proper regulatory compliance and record keeping. I was also responsible for contract maintenance performed on American Eagle jet aircraft.
Creativity: 6.2
I have been creative musically, through writing, and in problem solving at work. I recently designed a spare part inventory system for the sheet metal department at Midcoast Aviation. I have also been somewhat creative while solving technical issues and employee disputes at prior jobs.
Analytical Skills: 7.9
I was the recipient of the Top Troubleshooter award while employed at Midcoast Aviation, a corporate aviation facility. Troubleshooting a complex aircraft system requires in-depth analysis of the aircraft's systems, their attributes and how they interact. This process may be similar to that of analyzing an information system. Through careful examination of hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, electrical, and avionics subsystems, one can discover a critical path and effectively solve problems. The process often involved breaking down cause and effect relationships, processes, and finding the most efficient/cost effective solution considering the available resources.
Communication Skills: 7.3
My written communication skills are well developed. I am continuing to work on improving business presentation and verbal skills. Building on the aforementioned experience, my duties required frequent communication with managers, maintenance control, other maintenance bases, consultants, shifts leads and third party representatives.
Strongest Asset:
Analytical experience
Weakness:
Tight time constraints and limited IT experience
I have had formal troubleshooting training on CRJ 900 Aircraft. Some of the methodologies, from defining a problem to implementing a solution, taught in these courses may prove useful when analyzing an information system. I have also had fairly extensive documentation experience involving aircraft maintenance procedures.
Experience relevant to the project area:
My work at Scottrade has exposed me to a very effective and diverse electronic communication system. Their system provides multiple channels of communication for both customer and internal correspondence. Should any line of communication fail, all affected parties are immediately notified and back-ups seamlessly kick in. I have also used an array of business to business and internal websites at various jobs. Some of which worked very well, while others failed to meet intended purposes or user expectations.
