Your project this semester will be with St. Louis' Girls Inc. They are a local chapter of the national Girls Inc.
Your client already has a wish list of things to change on the website:
- Easy website page updates
- Easy blog management tool
- Easy interfacing and updates between the website with Facebook and Twitter
- Website linked to pay pal for various Girls Inc events
- Current headlines and Save the date events and continues to search previous online articles
- Link to the National Website, Facebook Page
- Easy ability to upload pictures
- Calendar with Special Schedule and events and Snow schedule
- Volunteer Registration Page
- Alumnae Registration Page
- A new look that more closely mirrors the national girlsinc.org website

Questions posed to the client by your class:
- 1. Who uses your website ?
- 2. What do you think is the problem/deficiencies with your website ?
- 3. What does your website suppose to do ?
- 4. Is your website not doing what it suppose to do ? If yes what is down(revenue, number of students etc.),
- 5. What are your possible goals for your organization and how does your website fit in that goal ?
- 6. What do we need to change to attain those goals ?
- 7. What is not going well for you ?
- 8. How to drive traffic to your website ?
- 9. What kind of traffic should you be receiving ?
- 10. What are other ways you can receive payment other than PayPal ?
- 11. How do you feel about the current level of activity of donors and volunteers ?

Questions posed to the client by the undergraduate class:
- Why did they choose N St. Louis County as their location? Is it because there is the highest number of girls in need for their services they offer?
- What cultural programs do they offer? Are the girls in need of their services all of the same culture or do they accommodate other cultures.
- What programs and events are in place to help girls out from different cultures?
- Why is the site not as donor friendly as a non for profit organizations site should be? Girls Inc. donation link is very small and hidden on the far right where you would have to go in and specifically look for a donation link to find it.
- Why isn’t the site more media friendly to get the attention of journalists and bloggers.
- What other things can be put up on the site to make it more volunteer friendly, instead of only one link that’s on Girls, Inc web site?
- Why isn’t the purpose and goal of the organization immediately apparent on the website so people know what the organization is all about?
- Why doesn’t the website include a news section with frequent updates and news or a blog?
- Are there any religious influences?
- Imagine we are at the end of the project, and you are ecstatic about the results. Why, what is right about the results? Please be specific.

- What is the purpose of your website in the context of the goals and purpose of the organization? How should the website help the organization meet its goals? give information, get contributions, attract girls, schools, volunteers, parents, contributors?
- Is there anything specific about the current website you really like/really dislike?
- What leads you to believe that the website isn’t adequately fulfilling its purpose?
- What tools besides the website does Girls Inc. use for outreach to the public and storage of information?
- What is the target audience for the website? Why do you aim to focus on this group of people?
- Of the wish list items for website makeover which 3 would be your top priority to have done and why?
- Do you have an outlined budget that this project need to adhere to?
- Does the firm plan on implementing any knew types of programs different from the list above or would they rather better promote the existing ones with a richer web experience?
- Does the firm know exactly how mush web traffic there site actually attracts and is that the best place to make adjustments in order to fix their problem?
- What are yearly goals for the current year and how close is the firm to reaching that mark, do the goals correspond to the parent organization and if not why?
- What would you like to see as a result of the made changes in the form of feedback from your targeted audience?
- Budget willing, have they entertained the idea of localized cable programming advertisement to help promote their organizations efforts and reach more of a specialized targeted audience. This technique could be televised at certain times and certain locations to reach the specific audience.

- Why is the Paypal Donate function on the website currently limited to fixed donation amounts of $25, $50, $75 and $100?
- What technologies / vehicles are you using, other than Facebook and Twitter, to reach out to the community?
- Are there any specific things about the Girls Inc.national website that you would find especially attractive or useful on the local website?
- Are the Facebook and website calendars only being used for certain types of actiivites, and is it currently a duplication of effort to maintain the two calendars?
- What are the most significant inhibitors to the current desires to expand the after-school program to include other districts?
- Regarding the ability to easily upload photographs, could you elaborate on where these pictures would be uploaded, and for what purpose?
