Final Thoughts

  • Don’t get effort confused with duration.

    You can have it:

  • Good

  • Fast

  • Cheap

Notes:

Effort is the total amount of work (hours) involved. It is a function of what the customer wants.
Duration is the ‘wall time’. Duration can be changed with more or less resources or different resources and is dealt with by the project owner.
