In order for a person to share an innovative idea with the team, he or she
has to trust the members not to mock the idea. If a team is to have
interdependence, the members have to respect one another’s ability and trust
each other to get their part of the job done. Trust can be built through
open communication and the willingness to share ideas or concerns rather
than keeping a “lid” on them.
-Having a shared goal and enjoying the journey toward it: It is important for a team to have fun working together, whether it is
while directly on task or as a “break” from the action. This builds team
cohesiveness and will reduce the chances of a member putting his or her
goals before that of the team. Sometimes a heterogeneous team may
experience culture clash or personality conflicts. If the team has a shared
vision and unity of purpose, the petty differences can more than likely be
laid aside in recognition of the superordinate goal.

-Judging by the various resumes from the class and my own personal
assessments, I believe that the three most important skills that should be
found in the people in a group would be a leader (one who guides the group),
a creator (one who brainstorms most of the ideas), and a communicator (one
who brings the group together through communication flow). Three of the
sections that you wanted us to have in our resumes cover these three kinds of
people. From every group naturally emerges a leader, one who takes command.
There is usually one who give the most ideas and solutions to problems. And
finally, there is one whose job seems to be keeping the group together, one
who keeps disagreements from getting out of hand; this person also may act as
a sort-of translator when misunderstandings arise. Other people in the group
might be other creators, other communicators, and certainly if the group is
big enough, you might even have some free-loaders.
