In response to acts of violence perpetrated on college campuses, the University of Missouri - Saint Louis created the Case Management Committee in 2007. The committee is charged with communicating important information, regarding students of concern, with key members of the campus community. Though the committee strives to take a proactive approach when dealing student issues, some responses are reactive in nature.

The Case Management Committee consists of members of various university departments for the purpose of sharing pertinent information regarding incidents and individuals that provoke thought and/or concern. Meetings are held every two weeks, and action plans are developed as necessary.  University students are the main focus of the team, but incidents involving employees, visitors and guests that raise concern are also discussed and acted on as needed.
