Hello and welcome to the Office of Registration! As Registrar, I am dedicated to facilitating the educational process by providing quality, timely, and courteous service to students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, alum, and community members. The registration team and I strive to fulfill the mission of the Registration Office by providing a welcoming and positive environment that respects diversity, promotes communication, fosters partnerships and seeks to offer support in administering policy and processes regarding registration and records. Additionally, the Office of the Registrar disseminates important information about the university, its programs, and its commitment to the community. I am a proud alumni member of the University of Missouri-St Louis where I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, my MA in Adult and Higher Education, and my Doctoral degree in Higher Education. I have been part of the registration team since 2006 and enjoy the opportunities this career provides in continually finding ways to assist students and faculty in achieving their goals.

Mary Tackett
Assistant Registrar
Email address: tackettm@umsl.edu
I became part of the UMSL family in 2007. I joined the Registrar's Office as an assistant to the registrar to aid with the implementation of MyView.  This temporary position became permanent and I have been a part of UMSL since. I am now an assistant registrar and I manage the Records team which processes UMSL transcript request, grade changes, and much more. I also manage many other processes within the registrar's office and look for ways to streamline processes to make our office more efficient. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and I'm currently pursuing a second Bachelor's in Liberal Studies and a Certification in Workplace Relations. Occasionally, you may see me at the front desk or may speak to me on the phone.  Being able to assist students, faculty, and staff and help solve problems is what I love to do.

Stephen Chen
Student Support Specialist I

Hello! My name is Stephen and I'm one of the newest members of the registration team here at UMSL. I'm also one of the first faces you'll see when you step into the Registration Office, which may or may not be a good thing depending on how my hair looks that day. If you have a registration question or even a non-registration question, please come on by. I'll do my best to help you out or direct you to someone who can. As for my background in higher education, I graduated with a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that, I attended Colgate University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in economics. It was at Colgate where my interest in higher education began and I had the opportunity to spend some time volunteering and working in various academic support units. After drawing one too many supply and demand curves, I started to focus more on my developing passion for higher education and service administration. Being in a higher education environment and assisting members of the campus community is something I have always enjoyed and I decided to make a career out of it. Fast forward some years later and here I am ready to serve you in the Registration Office at UMSL!
Main Responsibilities:
Front desk attendant for the Registration Office.
Assist students and patrons who walk in or call.
Provide backup support to other areas in the Registration Office.

I'm Ginger, a University of Missouri-St. Louis alumna, having completed my M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education in 2015. I process transactions related to the academic records such as transcript request, grades, and grade changes; provide degree verification to the National Student Clearinghouse; and assist with room scheduling and registration. As the Schedule Planner liaison/coordinator, I organize campus-wide promotions of the web-based tool which has increased usage, allowing more students to create ideal class schedules. I am also a member of the Higher Learning Commission Steering Committee. Being a resource and connecting with students and faculty, while contributing to the UMSL mission brings me great joy.

Greetings! My name is Danielle and I have been at the university in some capacity since 2006, when I started as a student. Since then, I have worked on and off campus, and am a proud alumna: I graduated from UMSL in 2010, 2012, and 2013 with a B.A. in Communication, M.A. in Communication, and M.Ed. in Adult Education, respectively. I adore working in the Office of the Registrar, and deal primarily with curriculum and scheduling (includes: Schedule of Classes, Course Catalog, and 25Live). I started my love affair with UMSL back in 1997 as a student worker in the Registration Office while pursuing my Bachelor’s degree. After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology in 2000, I became a full-time staff member in the former Evening College as an advising assistant. I left for a while, gaining experience in a variety of different areas but was ecstatic to return in 2013 when a position in Registration/DARS became available. I returned to UMSL with a MBA from the University of Phoenix and I'm currently exploring options for pursuing a doctorate degree.
