Instructor: Students taking my classes are advised to login to their MyGateway accounts for the syllabus, course materials, assignments and examination details. INFSYS 3842 - Management Of Telecommunications The technical and managerial aspects of telecommunications as they apply to the business environment are discussed. Issues include: communications components and services, local area network architecture, managerial implementations, organizational issues, and cost/benefits analyses. INFSYS 2800 - Information Systems, Concepts and Applications The course covers concepts of information systems as they relate to business functions, including web page design and e-commerce, telecommunications, systems analysis and design, ethics of information system design and use, information security, foundations of database systems and integrated business information systems. Students will also gain valuable strategies for career development, contact management, and networking. INFSYS 1800 - Computers and Information Systems This course covers the basic concepts of networked microcomputers including the basics of file management on local and remote computers, electronic mail, Internet browsers, and web page development. Students are also exposed to applications used in problem solving, communication, and making informed decisions, including word processors, presentation software, electronic spreadsheets, and databases. The characteristics of computer hardware and software used in implementing various applications are considered. Students will develop skills in utilizing applications that run on familiar computer platforms. Teaching Assistant: INFSYS 3845 - Information Systems Design INFSYS 6850 - Database Management Systems Students enrolled in the above courses are requested to schedule an appointment by email for assistance. |
