What is needed for success? |

|
Successful applicants to medical and dental schools will have strong academic qualifications as demonstrated by their performance in the baccalaureate program (e.g., GPA 3.5) and on the appropriate national standardized examination. Through activities outside the classroom, they will have demonstrated leadership qualities and provided evidence of a strong commitment to a particular health science, and their letters of recommendation will be outstanding. Factors considered by admission committee in assessing these qualities: maturity, social conscience, compassion, communication skills, personality, shadowing doctors (or healthcare professionals if applicable), undergraduate research activities, special talents and accomplishments (e.g., in music or sports). |
