Natissia SmallDirector
Natissia was appointed Director for the Office of Precollegiate Programs in April 2007. She has been with the University of Mo-St. Louis since 1995 and has served as a Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Clinical Instructor for the Bridge Program. Natissia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Southeast Missouri State University, M.Ed. in Secondary Education-Adult Education and a M.Ed. in Counseling Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She brings with her over 15 years of higher education experience in combined areas of admissions, financial aid, and student activities. Natissia serves as a member on the RESPECT Campaign Committee, National College Access Network and the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling. In October 2008, she was recognized as Mentor of the Year by NCCU. Natissia is devoted to serving, developing and providing effective college access programming for those served in the community.

Christopher Fletcher
Assistant Director
Christopher Fletcher was appointed Assistant Director in December of 2008. He brings with him several years of higher education experience, particularly in the areas of admissions and enrollment management. Christopher holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Teacher Education-Secondary Social Studies from Harris-Stowe State College. In 2006, he earned his Master’s degree in Adult-Higher Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Christopher’s higher education career began in 2002 serving as Assistant Director of Admissions at Harris-Stowe State College and Webster University. Chris brings expertise in areas of minority recruitment and diversity initiatives. He is a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling (MOACAC), the National College Access Network (NCAN), and The St. Louis Public Schools College Fair Committee. Christopher is passionate about preparing students for post-secondary attainment!

Channon Bates
Project Development Specialist
Channon joined the Office of Precollegiate Programs in 2003 and currently serves as Project Development Specialist. She is a graduate of Harris Stowe State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Channon brings expertise in the area of marketing and recruiting. She is a member of the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling (MOACAC) and the National College Access Network (NCAN). Channon plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration here at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She is an active volunteer in various youth and community organizations structured to encourage youth to seek post-secondary education.

Amber Mitchell
Student Assistant
Amber began working with the Office of Precollegiate Programs in 2005 as a student assistant. Amber received her Bachelor's Degree
in Psychology in 2008 and is currently seeking her Master's Degree in Secondary School Counseling
here at the University. Amber is an active participant in the following organizations: Chairperson for Colleges Against Cancer Survivorship and member of Sistakeeper, Coed Service Fraternity, Associated Black Collegians and the Black Leadership Organizing Council. Amber demonstrates a great deal of passion and commitment assisting students in achieving their goals for college success.
Kimberly Edwards
Graduate Assistant
Kimberly began working with the Office of Precollegiate Programs in April 2009 as a graduate student assistant. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Mo-St. Louis and is currently seeking her Master's Degree in Higher Education. She serves as a board member for the University Program Board and works diligently with the Office of Student Life to coordinate activities and events for student organizations. She has assisted with organizing events for the Women's Resource Center and developed workshops for the Emerging Leaders Program.
