I am an associate professor of Educational Technology in the Division of Teaching and Learning. I am interested in inquiry-based learning involving computers and the Internet as tools, viewed from a sociocultural perspective.

My book Designing Project-based Science: Connecting Learners through Guided Inquiry, has been published by Teachers College Press. I have worked with children and teachers in school and non-school settings such as after school clubs, on projects involving disciplines including science, history, and foreign literature.

I work with the team at UM-St. Louis in the College of Education's E. Desmond Lee Technology and Learning Center.
