Irem Kurtsal Steen (Ph.D., Syracuse University, 2007) has interests in metaphysics and epistemology. Her current work is on the implications of linguistic vagueness on persistence, composition, and coincidence.
Kurtsal Steen joined the department in August 2007. She received her Ph.D. in philosophy at Syracuse University. She was born and raised in Turkey, and she got her M.A. in Bogazici University, Istanbul.
She teaches primarily Ethics, Applied Ethics, and Philosophy of Religion.
