The following general education courses are required for the Traditional BSN (both Full-Time and Part-Time Options). Courses may be in progress at the time of application; however--with the exception of Junior-Level Writing--all courses must be completed before enrolling in the clinical track. Any offer of clinical admission is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the required general education courses.

Junior-Level Writing (3 credit hours) * - This requirement is waived for students with a baccalaureate degree. All other students are required to take this course at UMSL, and may take it concurrently with the clinical track curriculum (they do not need to complete it in advance).

Note: For students applying for clinical admission Fall 2017 or later, a grade of B- or higher will be required for the following courses: Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I and Anatomy & Physiology II.
