Students may be awarded credit for previous MSN core courses based upon successful completion of equivalent courses in their prior master's program, especially if these courses were completed less than 6 years ago. Courses completed more than 6 years ago require approval by the Graduate School Dean.

* Advanced practice nurses who are currently certified, recognized as an advanced practice nurse but are interested in getting a second advanced practice certificate may submit a portfolio to receive credit for the following courses: N6509, N6518, N6520, N6524. In addition, partial credit may be achieved through portfolio for the Diagnosis and Management courses. For example, a certified and state-recognized ANP who wishes to get a FNP may be able to get credit for the adult portions of the FNP Diagnosis and Management courses. Decisions regarding NP core credit will be made for each student individually.
