Mind, Memory, and Learning:
Translating Brain Research
to
Classroom Practice

Dr. Pat Wolfe and Dr. Carole Murphy

Since 2002 Dr. Murphy has been involved with Dr. Pat Wolfe's Institute on how the brain receives, stores and retrieves knowledge. In 2007, Murphy attended a renewal workshop where she was updated on current research. The goal of the Institute is to disseminate the most recent research on how the brain learns so that it can be used in instruction. Murphy is a member of the "brainy bunch" and a trainer for Dr. Wolfe' research. She has participated in three international conferences where she and colleagues have shared what they learned from the Institute with other educators.

Participants in the renewal workshop

Dr. Helen Neville, Neuroscientist & Dr. Carole Murphy
