Sufficiency
Plaster

Sufficiency was created in a quest to be self-sufficient and self-actualized over a cross-cultural journey between the East and the West. In fact, Sufficiency is so full of both factors that she is bursting in abundance with inner joy, contentment and confidence to be just herself and nobody else. Her lines are curvaceous and her form very full, reminding us of soft circles and spheres, the perfect embodiments of completeness, fulfillment and togetherness in a most Eastern point of view. Yet Sufficiency has a robust physique unique in the Amazonians of the Western culture. The fact that she was first sculpted from clay-like plastercine has enhanced her fertility, nature and feel. She was also buffed with buttermilk instead of being painted or stained because butter and milk just seemed like the natural completion to her femininity. The process of becoming is not unlike the process of art making, an art form itself, evolving, painstaking and beautiful.
