The Foreign One

The Foreign One is one of a series of works based on children's tales. The images in this series incorporate monotypes, manipulated digital photos and line drawings. The use of mixed media permits me not only to brainstorm and work in an abstract, connective fashion but also to utilize traditional and contemporary methods of making art. The Foreign One is meant to capture that moment when one teeters between excitement and fear of the unknown.
