Welcome to the 2002 Electronic Gallery Membership Exhibit!

Open to all National Art Education Association members, the Electronic Gallery is a juried membership exhibit presented annually at the National Art Education Association Convention. The Electronic Gallery’s primary mission is to provide NAEA’s artists/educators with the opportunity to exhibit and disseminate the results of creative studio work in conjunction with the annual convention. This unique slide exhibit presentation facilitates an inspiring confluence of professional involvement and exchange with international, national and regional NAEA members.

We are pleased to welcome Jeff Sippel, printmaker and Professor of Art at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, as the 2002 Electronic Gallery Membership Exhibit juror. Mr. Sippel selected 96 works submitted by 92 artists from a field of 302 slides. On behalf of NAEA and all participating Electronic Gallery artists, we thank Mr. Sippel for the hours of deliberation and selection.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce and thank Dr. Barbara Martinson from the University of Minnesota, for agreeing to serve as the 2003 Electronic Gallery Membership Exhibit Curator/Presenter. Barbara has been an active EGME artist for many years and is eager to undertake this important job.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve as NAEA/EGME Curator and Presenter for the past four years. My sincere thanks to all the artists for the numerous letters of support, encouragement and appreciation; YOU made this a wonderful experience.

Congratulations to all 2002 Electronic Gallery Membership Exhibit artists!
