Our focus this year is: EDUCATING FOR CHANGE with a focus on teaching, learning, and activism that is: Pro-Justice, Anti-Racist, Anti-Sexist, Anti-Classist, and Multicultural. We believe that through the sharing of ideas linked to social action, educators can contribute to building a more just society.
Our featured speakers include:
Bob Peterson from Rethinking Schools
Kenya Ajanaku from Africa Alive!
Flora Graham, Spoken Word Artist
The purpose of the event is to allow a time and space for community members and educators (including community groups, community activists, college professors, teacher educators, pre K-12 educators, adult education teachers, and informal educators) to come together to celebrate and share actions that contribute to building a more equitable society. The Curriculum Fair will provide educators and community members with two forums to share their work – table displays and workshops. Please think about how you might represent your organization or the work you do in the community that contributes to a more just society. We have attached a call for proposals and a flyer to this email.
This Curriculum Fair will provide a comfortable and stimulating place for educators and activists to share their work and ideas and to find inspiration in the work of their colleagues. We believe this curriculum fair can help in developing a network of educators and community activists in St. Louis who are committed to educating for social change.
