To Find the Right Database(s):
- Call the Thomas Jefferson Reference Desk (314-516-5060) or
the Ward Barnes Library Reference Desk (314-516-5576) during
library hours. - Ask A Librarian – your question should be answered in 1-2 working days
- Consult a Library Subject Guide.
To Search an UMSL Library Database:
- click on Databases on any UMSL Library Webpage
- click on either Sorted Alphabetically or Sorted by Subject
- click on the Database name.
enter your SSO ID and Password.
Searching for Books
Search the MOBIUS Union Library Catalog - MOBUIS is a consortium of 60+ academic/other libraries in the State of Missouri.- The MOBIUS "Pick up Anywhere" feature allows you to request a book from any MOBIUS library and have books delivered for pick up to the MOBIUS library location nearest you.
- When requesting items through MOBIUS remember UMSL students are in the MERLIN cluster.
- You can also check out books from any nearby MOBIUS member library.
- Requirements for Checkout as a Visiting Patron at a MOBIUS library: An institutional photo I.D. or an institutional I.D., plus a government issued photo I.D. (e.g., driver's license, state I.D., passport, etc.) will be required to check out materials as a Visiting Patron.
