  • Update - MERLIN & MOBIUS Loans:
    After May 4, 2014, you will no longer be able to choose the Ward E. Barnes Library as a delivery location for MERLIN/MOBIUS pickup when making new requests. Please use the Thomas Jefferson Library instead for requests placed after May 4. Items already in process can be still picked up at Barnes until May 14th.   More information about the closing of the Ward E. Barnes Library.  (4/29/2014)

  • Extended Finals Hours (Thomas Jefferson Only) are in effect from Sunday, May 4th to Thursday, May 8th and again from Sunday, May 11th to Wednesday, May 14th. (4/24/2014)

  • Extra computers (with printing) are available in the Thomas Jefferson Library (Room 315) to help you prepare for the end of the semester.  We've extended the time to cover three weeks instead of two.  Hours are 9:00AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Thursday, April 28-May 1,  May 5 - 8 and May 12 - 15.   • Improvements to Thomas Jefferson Library, Main Level
    The Thomas Jefferson Library Research Commons has been remodeled. The computers were rearranged to spread out the computer workstations and shelving was moved to allow more light into the area. Seating arrangements were also improved and additional power outlets (with USB ports) have been added along the back window.

    The scanner and copier have moved to the wall around the corner from the Reference Desk.

    We plan on making future improvements as the year progresses.  Let us know what you think by using the Suggestions link on the main page! 

- Announcements from Winter Intersession 2013/2014 -

  • Library Research Commons in the Thomas Jefferson Library closed Dec. 16 - Jan. 21
    During the 2013/2014 Winter Break, the Library Research Commons (Computer Lab) in the Thomas Jefferson Library will be closed for renovations beginning Monday, December 16th. It will reopen on January 21st, but may open sooner if the work is finished ahead of schedule.

    The Research Commons/Computer Lab in the Ward E. Barnes library will be open over the break (hours).  Another alternative are the computer labs in SSB 102/103 which will be open as follows:
    Dec. 15th closed
    Dec. 16 – 20 8am – 5pm
    Dec 21 - 22 closed
    Dec 23 – 24 8am – 5pm
    Dec 25 – Jan 1 closed
    Jan 2 – 4 8am – 5pm
    Jan 5 closed
    Jan 6 – 9 8am – 7pm
    Jan 10 –11 8am – 5pm
    Jan 12 closed

    Other alternatives include the KIOSK machines in the Millennium Student Center, Lucas Hall, SSB (4th floor) and ESH (in the lobby area).

  • TJ Café: Closed for the Winter Intersession.
    The TJ Café will close at 2:00 pm on Friday,  December 13th and reopen on Tuesday, January 21st.  Although there is no food service in the Café during the break, the area is still available for use, with vending machines and power plugs for your convenience.

    Most campus dining areas are also closed during the Winter Intersession.  Einstein's Bros® in the Millennium Student Center will have limited hours of operation.  For more information, please visit the UMSL Dining Services web site.     (12/12/2013)
