World Wide Web Assignment

Create a homepage in HTML writer. Your homepage must contain:

1 image reference, preferably a personal photograph
2 hypertext links to other pages you created. These pages may contain your resume, or any other type of document
one bulleted list
one applet

Of course, if you want to get creative you can put more images, hypertext links to other pages, or even design your web page with Visual Basic.

1. Your homepage must be stored in a file called index.htm in HTML writer. 2. Once you are happy with your homepage, you will use FTP to copy your homepage from the A:/disk up to the WWW server on JINX in the UNIX operating environment.

Local PC info, point to A:
Remote host infor, you must point to the public_html subdirectory
Transfer your index.htm from A to remote computer
FTP will also be used to rename the file from index.htm to index.html.
Upload your other 2 web pages the same way, be sure to change the name to html.
Upload your .GIF file but do not rename it.
Be sure to test your homepage using netscape
