Microsoft Word Assignment
The purpose of the word assignment is to make sure that you can successfully accomplish
the basics of word processing, such as creating, saving, and printing a document.
Create a document and save the document on your A: drive as A:wordass1.doc
At the top of the document on the first page, please include your:
Name
Student ID Number
Date
Section Meeting time (1:00MW or 2:30MW)
PART A
In the body of your document on the first page, select five adjectives that describe yourself.
For each adjective, explain in one or two sentences why this adjective appropriately captures
your personality. Each adjective should have the following format:
1. Use bold function for the first adjective
For example:
Diligent. I am diligent in my own work and I expect others to be diligent in their work.
I carry out responsibilities with earnest and enthusiasm and expect others to do the same.
2. Use underline function for the second adjective
3. Use italics function for the third adjective
4. Change the font for the fourth adjective
5. Change the font size for the fifth adjective
PART B.
Insert a page break between Part A and Part B.
Create a table that lists the author, title, and year of publication for your top 5 favorite books.
Make the width of each column different
Shade Book Numbers 2 and 4
Right Justify YEAR column
Center-Justify AUTHOR Column
Left Justify TITLE Column
Insert page numbers on the bottom righthand corners of pages 1 and 2
Be sure to spell check your document.
Hand in a printed copy of your document as well as your diskette following
the format defined on your syllabus.
