Once you boot up the system from drive A: using your bootable disk with the copied files, enter current date and time as prompted by DOS.

6. Create a directory on your disk called BA103. Issue the directory command. What does the screen say?
7. Copy SYLAB95.FAL and SYLAB95.BKP files to the new directory, BA103. Type in the directory command in this subdirectory. What does the screen say?
8. Type in the directory command using the wildcard SYL*.*. What does the screen say?
9. Enter the TYPE command on the SYLAB95.FAL What happens? Why?
10. Remove the subdirectory BA103. Enter the directory command from the root directory. What does DOS do?

15. Close all Windows but the Program Manager. How many “Group Icons” are there?

17. Closs the Class Software Window. Open the Lab Software Window. Open Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows from Spreadsheet Window. Minimize Lotus. Open Microsoft Word 6.0 from Word Processor Window. 19. In the “Write” Program-item icon. What is this application?
20. Close the “Write” Program. Open the Cardfile Program-item icon. Create three cards, each with a different recipe. Save the cards to a file called “RECIPE.CRD” on a disk in your A: drive. Close the Cardfile. (This will be graded by looking at your disk--no need to write a written response to question 20.)
21. Enter Print Manager. Completely name the first two printers.
22. Close the Print Manager. Open the Calendar. Change the View from Day to Month. Add to the Calendar the date and time of your BA103 final. Save the calendar on the A: drive to a file called REMIND.CAL. (This will be graded by looking at your disk--no need to write a written response to question 22.) Close calendar.
23. Open Calculator. What is the square root of 43,000?
24. Close Calculator. Open Clock. Change from Analog to Digital. Close Clock. (There is nothing to write or hand in for this question)
25. Open Paintbrush. Have fun. Close Paintbrush. (There is nothing to write or hand in for this question)
