FIN450 - Financial Management
The course is designed to give students an overview of the fundamental areas in corporate finance. Theoretical and practical financial applications are covered.
The topics covered in this course are difficult concepts. I will make every effort to provide interpretation and help you comprehend the subject matter. Outside of the classroom it is important that you interact with the instructor and other students. I am not paring down the course because of the limited sessions and Internet-based follow-up. I assume that you are exceptionally motivated and are interested in participating in this experimental course format.
Your performance on three exams (two midterms and a final), homework, and log of your activities determine the course grade. No make-ups on exams are given.
There are approximately 20 assignments graded as 0, .5, or 1 outcomes. Sunday midnight is the submission deadline for the assignments listed for that week. Late assignments receive no credit. The exams are evenly split between problems and essay questions.
