Where I'm At, Virtually of Course!

I am an instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

I am also a husband, father, woodworker, and owner of an old house.

I have been a surfer on the internet for about five years, and have become infatuated with the WWW over the past four years.

Teaching and Research Interests

Wow. Right now my main duties are directed towards teaching and maintaining the department's HomePage. My current research interests combine these two activities-- exploring ways of utilizing the WWW in the classroom; as well as, exploring the interactional dynamics of electronic communication and developing a course on that explores the relationship between Society and Technology with an emphasis on the social reality of virtual community.

Of course, my long standing focal concern has been the Sociology of Deviance, with a specific interest in The Social Reality of Drugs.
